About Touro
Touro is the stretch between St. Charles Avenue and Magazine Street from Toledano Street to Napoleon Avenue, as the City Planning Commission draws it — immediately upriver of the Garden District.
It is a small neighborhood, about 0.3 square miles, at an elevation of around three feet. The 2010 census counted 2,998 people living there.
