Irish Channel Landscaping is based in the Irish Channel and works on yards across New Orleans.
Lawn care & maintenance, gravel & stepping stones, fences and yard cleanups. We put things in, and we keep them looking right afterwards.
The Irish Channel is the neighborhood between Magazine Street and the Mississippi, from Jackson Avenue up to Louisiana Avenue. It took its name from the Irish immigrants who arrived in large numbers in the 1830s, many of them to dig the New Basin Canal, and it was part of the old city of Lafayette until New Orleans annexed it in 1852.
It is still a neighborhood of 19th-century shotgun houses, narrow lots and small yards. That is the kind of yard most of our work is on.
